A design that has been very popular with our customers over the years, is one that we affectionately call ‘bubble ring’. The name doesn’t sound very elegant, but the results are beautiful. The bubble ring is not one specific design, it is a style that can be varied endlessly. Bubbles are not limited to rings either – we have made necklaces in this style too. The reason bubbles – or bezel setting – works especially well for redesign of old jewellery is because it often looks even better if you have diamonds of different sizes, which is often the case when redesigning several pieces.
Old ring setting in the background. We used Diamonds from the old ring into a new bezel-set design. We supplied smaller diamonds so that the diamonds would reach full circle.
These rings were made using diamonds from an old wedding ring with the pink and purple gemstones provided by us. Adding coloured stones to the mix creates more options to be playful with. We set the coloured stones on one of the rings and left the other one with all diamonds. That way she can choose to wear one at a time or both together for several different looks.
