E had a pair of wedding rings that belonged to her grandparents. She wanted to be able to wear them, but without it looking like they were her own wedding rings. We resized them and built thin gold circles to join the two rings, so they no longer look like wedding rings.

This young girl got a gold bangle passed down from her grandmother. It was much too big so we removed a section and bent it into a cuff bracelet instead, so it fits the size and style of a younger wearer.

A modern looking cuff bracelet for the new wearer. The piece we cut away was several centimeters long, so it can be kept to make a simple pendant out of at a later date.

The beauty of old jewellery items is the history of them. This bangle had hallmarks showing that it was sold by a jeweller with the initials JB, made in the UK, in 9K gold, assayed in London, in a year that we unfortunately can’t quite make out. Perhaps you can figure it out?
